My Interview With Chris Pratt on The Set of Guardians of the Galaxy

The embargo lifted Friday so I can finally reveal that last September I traveled again to London’s Pinewood Studios to visit the set of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. I had traveled to the same place, stayed in the same hotel, all for the same studio the year prior for Thor: The Dark World so the formula was familiar.

‘Star Wars 7′ Cast Finally Announced

After crushing the hearts of at least a few longtime Star Wars fans who grew up playing the video games and reading the novels that made up the Expanded Universe, Lucasfilm, under the new leadership of Kathleen Kennedy and the ownership of Disney, made it official last week that everything not in the actual Star Wars films is not canon. Sorry, but don’t worry, that stuff will still come out and profit will be made from it. It just ain’t legit anymore.

The Best Snowman Ever Isn’t A Man At All

Growing up in Canada, white winters are normal. Snowfalls, accompanied by the occasional day off of school thanks to canceled buses, go hand-in-hand with snow angels, snowball fights and the construction of snowthings.

I use that last word carefully because in University, packing snow equates to giant snow penises, but at home, it meant snowmen. My bro, mom and I built some pretty epic ones, but nothing… and I mean nothing I have ever seen constructed out of the white fluff is as cool or awesome as Snowshark.

Mindblowing Week of Superhero Movie News

The Wolverine hit home video this week and thanks to the 4-disc Unleashed Edition I finally get to watch the scenes I saw shot last fall when I traveled to the set in Australia. The news of its release brought a lot of attention to director James Mangold and star Hugh Jackman’s plans for another Wolverine solo adventure.

No one could have predicted the amount of other major, major superhero movie news that it got shuffled in with in the days following…

5 Awesome TV Shows I’m Currently Watching

I spent part of the week catching up on the current season of The Walking Dead and watched the midseason finale yesterday which concluded with a 3-episode arc all about the Governor. It was good, but the show still doesn’t rank among the top five I’m currently watching or planning to quickly catch up on.
